An international company based in Asturias is looking to incorporate a person into its Fixed assets and lease accounting team, having direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of global accounting transactional operations and internal control activities of the Company¿s end-to-end Lease process.
your functions
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Perform monthly financial close process, prepare monthly activities including quarterly journal entries related to lease expenses and accruals for the global lease portfolio
-Supervises transactional activities performed by the staff of an outsourced third-party accounting service provider to ensure they are completed on time and accurately in accordance with the contractual service level agreements
-Coordinates the global month end general ledger close and reporting activities for Fixed Assets processes from SAP to OS, to consolidate Company Financial Statements. Part of close activities include review of journal entries, resolution of complex problems, review of monthly roll forwards, and various fixed asset reports.
-Collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Site Operations, IT, Plant Accounting, Corporate Accounting and Tax teams to address all accounting and reporting requirements.
-Develops and maintains operational procedures documentation for fixed assets & lease transactional activities.
-Responsible for ensuring the internal controls (SOX) over fixed asset accounting are operating effectively, including Account -Reconciliations, MJE reviews, and Open Construction Balance monitoring
-Work closely with the tax team to support efforts related to VAT, property and other taxes
Supports global consolidated and local statutory financial statement audit requirements related to fixed assets
-Manages requests for data and ad hoc analyses related to Fixed Asset accounting activities.
-Supports continuous improvement that simplifies and standardizes fixed asset and lease accounting processes globally
-Identifies financial / accounting training needs and developing / facilitating training execution
-Leads and coordinates the global month end general ledger close and reporting activities for Lease processes from SAP to -OneStream, to consolidate Company Financial Statements. Part of close activities include review of journal entries, resolution of complex problems, review of monthly roll forwards, and various lease reports.
-Collaborates, give assistance and cross training to Procurement and Real Estate teams
-Analyze the data accuracy in Lease tool on a monthly basis
-Maintain the integrity of data within the lease accounting systems for the global lease portfolio
-Administrator of Lease program: accesses, review users¿ data, report issues to IT support.
-System maintenance: FX and IBR rate upload
-SAP vs Lease vs Consolidation program reconciliation
-Prepare ad hoc reports as needed to support routine reviews, accounting and financial reporting needs

: - Conocimientos en ERP especialmente en SAP, - Nivel avanzado de Excel -
Experiencia
: 1 año
The following is required for this role:
-Bachelor¿s degree in accounting or finance is required
-Technical GAAP experience
-Accounting experience
-Experience with SAP,
-Ability to establish and manage processes and related internal controls
-Experience working in multi-cultural and global environments
-Works independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously as well as part of a team.
-Knowledge of the fixed asset accounting activities
-Organized, accurate and detail oriented.
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities
-Analytical and continuous improvement mindset
-English language skills
-Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
-High level proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel required
The following is preferred for this role:
-Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
-Ability to build successful relationships across the organization through collaboration, consensus building and interpersonal effectiveness
-Goal oriented with excellent teamwork skills
-Knowledge in Power queries, Alteryx and Power BI tools
-Experience with lease administration database systems and accounting systems preferred
