your functions

Key priorities for this role include:
1. Oversight of Cask Manufacturing Activities:
¿ Oversee day to day management of our Cask Manufacturing operations, ensuring casks are always delivered to our technical and quality specifications through the interaction with the operational leads across all of our subsidiaries.
¿ Align and implement any required changes to cask manufacturing processes, supporting the integration of our new businesses into one joined up supply chain and ensuring their compliance with Edrington´s Ways of working and quality standards.
¿ Ensure adherence to our technical and quality specifications for Sherry seasoning Work with our colleagues at Grupo Estevez to assess seasoning wines, identifying opportunities for unique seasoning wines for The Macallan casks.
¿ Uphold and drive continuous cask quality improvements, ensuring that appropriate quality control processes are implemented to secure the quality of all of our casks.

¿ Regular travel to the sawmills in the US and the North of Spain to oversee oak sourcing, drying and stave cutting processes.
¿ Identify cask manufacturing standards and manufacturing process improvements

2. Governance of Cask Manufacturing Quality Standards:
¿ Working with the Liquid Quality Team to align and refine the quality standards of cask manufacturing processes required to support our Whisky making needs.
¿ Establishing processes to ensure the continuous assessment of cask quality in order to improve cask performances
¿ Work with Liquid Quality and Whisky Makers to support product development and innovation, including resilience testing and wood or wine alternatives

3. Quality Control and Operational Excellence
¿ Manage the Cask Manufacturing Quality Team, driving the transformation from current external audit processes to effective quality controls at each of the key points of manufacturing along the Sherry cask supply chain from oak to wine.
¿ Develop effective KPI reporting and operational excellence monitoring for timely decision-making.
¿ Implement Cask Quality Controls across our businesses for Oak Sourcing and Cask manufacturing
¿ Review and development of Cask Seasoning Quality Standards and Controls
¿ Identify operational excellence metrics and ongoing reporting to drive improvements
¿ Develop quality control reporting to provide visibility of performance and drive ongoing improvements

position requisites

• Conocimientos

  : - Alto conocimiento de paquete Office.

• Experiencia

  : 10 años

¿ Degree qualified in a business/operations, engineering or financial discipline.
¿ A proven track record in operational leadership.
¿ Proficient in the development and execution of long-term operations strategy and 5-year business planning, encompassing full end to end supply chain, asset and resource evaluation and translating commercial forecasts into manageable operations processes.
¿ Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills, at all levels and within a matrix organization.
¿ High level of technical and financial acumen, with the ability to drive targets, forecasts, industry and regulatory technical expertise, optimising any balances between cost and delivery without compromising quality or compliance.
¿ Strong organisation and project management skills, with experience of leading substantial business-critical assignments.
¿ Demonstrated success landing and implementing significant organisational change.
¿ Extensive expertise in building and optimising organisational processes and infrastructure to advance productivity, compliance, quality and cost.
¿ Experience in developing and implementing measurement and oversight systems to support end-to-end visibility and operational excellence.
¿ Self-starting and able to take initiative to drive projects forward, being solution focused and capable of meeting high levels of delivery expectations and adapting to evolving requirements.
¿ Expertise in team development, driving transformational change to ensure an optimal organisational structure is in place with a highly capable, empowered and motivated workforce.
¿ Experience of successfully dealing with complex employee relations in unionised and office environments.
¿ Proficient in verbal and written English and Spanish
