your functions

This position will be responsible for scoping, estimating, and executing capital expenditure projects of varying complexities. Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization and solve problems efficiently in a team-based work environment.

Primary Responsibilities
¿ Under direction of Project Manager, manage capital projects which would include, but not be limited to, scoping and estimating the projects, authoring capital expenditure requests for the same, leading multi-functional project teams, providing cost and schedule control, identifying required resources, and coordinating between all affected parties.
¿ Work with site personnel to execute projects efficiently and effectively with minimal impact to existing operations.
¿ Coordinate with the local technical and operational teams to ensure key project and site objectives are met.
¿ Monitor project progress and performance; communicate project status with senior employees and project stakeholders; develop and deliver formal presentations to management as necessary.
¿ Develop proposals or RFQ¿s for the purposes of scoping or estimating capital investments; work with vendors and/or contractors to optimize system performance.
¿ Manage the procurement process for capital expenditure projects, including interface and negotiations with suppliers of equipment and services.
¿ Develop technical specifications, ensuring that equipment conforms to local specifications and availability.
¿ Prepare and maintain Engineering drawings, including Engineering and Process Flow Diagrams, Assembly Drawings, and Detailed Design Drawings.
¿ Design and/or troubleshoot systems related to instruments, controls, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer.
¿ Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
¿ Provide oversight for commissioning and startup of new or modified equipment.
¿ Ensure safe working practices are carried out to comply with site standards on health, safety, and environmental regulations.
¿ Ensure maximum possible duplication of the best-chosen process technology at all impacted sites.
¿ Negotiate with prospective suppliers of equipment and services.

Basic Qualifications
¿ B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
¿ Demonstrated ability to manage projects and fulfill responsibilities associated with project engineering teams
¿ Manufacturing experience
¿ Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines (instrumentation, electrical, civil, mechanical, and chemical)
¿ Demonstrated ability to both work within and lead multi-disciplinary teams
¿ Ability to perform risk assessment, especially HAZOP or FMEA
¿ Experience in developing and reading of mechanical design drawings
¿ Demonstrated ability to manage contractors
¿ Oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English,
¿ strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities
¿ Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
¿ Ability to command the personal respect and confidence of colleagues and suppliers for technical capability

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
¿ Fluent in English
¿ Experience in safety analysis methodologies
¿ Experience in developing and reading of mechanical design drawings
¿ Experience with Root Cause- Corrective Action principles
¿ Knowledge and experience with basic process drawing layouts with emphasis on PFD¿s, P&ID¿s, and material balances

Travel Requirements
¿ Travel will vary significantly based upon the project assignments and the stage of execution
¿ Able to travel within Europe and Internationally
¿ Successfully able to obtain the applicable and required Visas, if needed
