We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer - Raw Materials to join our Supply Chain team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the strategic acquisition of specialized chemical raw materials (RMs), ensuring optimal quality, competitive supply, and cost efficiency for our pharmaceutical and dermocosmetic production needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global markets and supply chains within highly regulated industries.
your functions
Lead the procurement process for a critical portfolio of Chemical Raw Materials, including negotiating prices, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements to ensure cost competitiveness and supply stability.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the category, focusing specifically on RMs used in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Cosmetics, and Cosmetics sectors (a strong preference for this background).
Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers internationally. Maintain and strengthen relationships with the existing supplier base, with a strong emphasis on China, India, other Southeast Asian countries, Africa, and the Americas, ensuring compliance with quality standards (GMPs, ISO) and sector-specific regulations.
Implement sourcing strategies that optimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including cost reduction initiatives, managing supply chain risks (scarcity, price volatility), and seeking alternative sources.
Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Production departments to ensure acquired RMs meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and production timelines.
Monitor global RM market trends, price evolution, and regulatory changes to anticipate impacts on the company's supply chain.

Experiencia
: 5 años
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Buyer or Sourcing Specialist, with a clear focus on Chemical Raw Materials.
Demonstrable experience in sourcing RMs for the Pharmaceutical, Medical Cosmetics, or Dermocosmetics/Cosmetics sectors (essential requirement).
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in negotiating and managing suppliers in highly competitive and high-risk markets, including direct experience with suppliers from China, India, and other key regions (Southeast Asia, Africa, Americas).
Bachelor¿s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Business/Supply Chain Management. A relevant postgraduate qualification or certification is a plus.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills. Superior analytical capability for data-driven decision-making.
Advanced English (C1 or bilingual) is mandatory for daily international supplier communication. Knowledge of a third language (e.g., Mandarin) is a strong asset.
Familiarity with sector-specific quality and regulatory standards (GMP, ICH, ISO).
